The Hawker Typhoon and Tempest ReviewI found this book to be well written and researched.
Mason covers the development of the aircraft and engines, introduction to service, the numerous teething problems of both airframe and the Napier engine and operational history, including post war service. Accompanying the text are numerous photographs, many previously unpublished.
The appendices give dimensional drawings, color profiles, and a comprehensive listing of aircraft delivered and the groups that flew them.
Mason's writing is lucid throughout the text and I think he strikes a nice balance between history and technicalities. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in WW2 aircraft.The Hawker Typhoon and Tempest Overview
