The Diaries of the Maryknoll Sisters in Hong Kong, 1921-1966 ReviewI purchased this book because I went to Maryknoll and grew up in Hong Kong in the fifties. The book gives a good overview of the history of this period and the personal experiences of the sisters during the war years and immediately after. It was very personal to me as many of the sisters taught me and I knew all of them. Sr. Cecilia Marie de Carvalho. is a relative of mine. I remember much of it but being young my memories needed clarifying and this book certainly did that. A must read for anyone interested in day to day life from the special viewpoint of the Sisters who made such a large contribution to the people of Hong Kong in education, good works and civic influence.The Diaries of the Maryknoll Sisters in Hong Kong, 1921-1966 Overview
